Family: Agapanthaceae

Genus: Agapanthus

Agapanthus carries large round heads on tall slim stalks which appears in succession throughout the summer.

During the winter ensure that the plant is place in a frost free room.

In this room the plant will need very little water until spring, when it should be brought back to a well lit spot and started into growth by normal watering and feeding. Do not repot frequently.

Types of Agapanthus:

Agapanthus Africanus: This plant bears its blooms on 2ft flower stalks. Plant in a tub or a large container.

Tips of Success: Agapanthus Temperature: The plant survives an average warm temperature, keep cool 40-60 degree F in the winter.

Agapanthus Light: Choose the sunniest spot available.

Agapanthus Water: Kept the manure moist at all times especially during the growing season. Water leniently in the winter.

Agapanthus Air Humidity: Misting is not necessary.

Agapanthus Repotting: Not required until division takes place.
