Amaryllis Plant

The Amaryllis is a popular tropical plant that grows well indoors. They make popular gifts, particularly around the Christmas holiday season when their delightful and large trumpet like flowers bloom ranging in red, pink, white, and multicoloured. Like African Violets, the Amaryllis is also slightly difficult to bloom. For the best results, place in a sunny spot that enjoys some direct sun when it's actively growing and water moderately. Keep the soil dry and place in a less bright spot during dormancy. Avoid high temperatures, since it can shorten the lifespan of the blooms. The Amaryllis may be fertilized with liquid plant feed twice a month when the blooming period ends right through to the middle of summer.During the fall, fertilize with a feed that contains a high amount of potash.
Typically blooming 2-6 flowers for each stalk in the summer, this potted Amaryllis Plant is a tall and elegant plant.
