R S Kane Funeral home has a very interesting history. It is a relatively old Funeral home, spanning over 50 years. The founders, Robert Simpson Kane and Gwendolyn Eadie Fraser married in the 1950’s, they later on purchase the Fred Myers Funeral home in Toronto, in the Yonge and Sheppard area. There at their Funeral Home, they resided in the second floor, and through hard work and detail ship, the Kane’s build what will be R. S. Kane funeral home. In the 1970’s, the neighborhood proved to be too crowded and as such they relocated in their new residence at 6150 Yonge Street, which was opened in 1985. Today the building, enriched in a multicultural environment and a staff of matured workers give excellent service at R. S. Kane funeral home.
